Michael J. Hays, Attorney

Experience

Michael Hays joined Tuesley Hall Konopa in January 2012 as a seasoned litigator. He brings over 10 years of litigation experience to the firm, having worked in both the private sector and for a large national law firm.

Immediately prior to joining Tuesley Hall Konopa, Michael served as Senior Counsel for Monaco RV, LLC, where he oversaw litigation nationwide and provided day-to-day counsel regarding employment law, regulatory compliance and business transactions. Michael draws on his time inside a business to help bring a practical approach to assisting clients.

Michael's significant past representations include:

  • participation in defense of a multi-district litigation proceeding involving thousands of plaintiffs and more than sixty defendants in four states;
  • drafting comprehensive foreign distribution agreements and maintaining compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act;
  • supervising antitrust claims in class-action litigation;
  • successful defense of a large-scale Fair Labor Standards Act lawsuit;
  • providing wide-ranging support and counsel for a reorganization of company operations culminating in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing and eventual asset transaction; and
  • handling hundreds of RV consumer disputes at all levels, including first-chair jury trial experience.
